COURSE DESCRIPTION
"As th emodern environmental laws come under attack, it is very important for tribes and native villages to explore and understand their roles and the importance of having their own written laws.
In histories, time-frames, values, strategies, and tool-kits, the tribes will have different approaches to environmental issues. These strategies should be studied and evaluated in the context of the legal frame-work that now exists and is ever changing.
This course evalutes differing legal strategies and concepts to allow tribes the ablility to better protect thier most sacred natural resources."
